Last night Danny Gokey performed “Come Rain Or Come Shine” as part of Idol’s Rat Pack week. Danny sang this song like it was his OWN and I can really hear this song on his album! This could be my favorite performance by Danny, lol! What are YOUR thoughts?

Danny Gokey sings “September.” It’s another good pick that matches the tone of his voice. He sings it the exact same way he sings everything, I think even his stage movements are the same as all the other nights. And he’s back to the glasses.
I’m not a big fan of the song, think it’s weak melodically; so no fireworks here, just the solid, workmanlike performance we always expect from Danny. One of these nights he’s going to bust out and totally surprise everyone, either good or bad.
Randy says you turned a song without a big melodic range into something that worked for you, Kara loves how he’s always on-pitch, calls it “another solid performance for Danny,” just hope we remember it at the end of the night.
Paula says you always push your range, adds as a woman she thinks he has a really “sexy voice.” Simon says nice job, but no star power, a “bit awkward and clumsy” overall.

Hey guys! Check out the group performance from last night on Idol. This was the BEST group performance so far to me and the idols worked really hard on it. Judge Paula Abdul lent her choreography skills and came up with a great routine. Check it out below!

Hey guys! Here is Danny Gokey’s performance of “September” by the classic group Earth, Wind & Fire. Danny totally changed up the arrangement on this performance and he made it his own. His strong vocals DEF. showed in this performance. The judges also loved it. Let’s hope he is safe once again tonight!

No “American Idol” fans – you weren’t seeing double last night, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen just decided to hit the stage wearing identical outfits.
Either their stylists coordinated, the boys made a pact or no one communicates at all to avoid clothing overlaps – but whatever happened, Gokey and Allen were tough to tell apart last night.
Both singers wore distressed jeans, light-hued blazers with the sleeves pushed up, white t-shirts and similar medallions around their necks.
They also wore similar hairstyles and to top if off - Gokey dumped his signature spectacles.

The American Idol Top Seven live in luxury — but they tend to be too exhausted to enjoy it.
Life at the mansion also brings one unexpected element much debated is the existence of the house ghost, dubbed Phyllis by departed contestant Alexis Grace. “She lives in my room,” said Allison Iraheta. “If you spent one night in my room, you’d see
. I’ve heard growls. I’m not lying.”
Danny Gokey recounted the experience of watching a movie and the lights suddenly going on and off at random intervals. “Megan told me she saw someone walk across a room,” said Allen of another departed singer, Megan Joy. Others, including Lambert, still seemed skeptical of the apparition’s existence. Lil Rounds calls urgently for a change of topic, the creeps clearly hitting her.
One big concern — not supernatural, but nearly superhuman — is the struggle to maintain a positive outlook in the face of all the adversity that comes with Idoldom. It is hard to comprehend, even talking with them, the pressure that these young people are under. Each week in a very short period of time they are expected to create and flawlessly execute a performance that takes into account the often dizzingly contradictory advice of the judges under Ironman triathalon like schedules and then stand alone on a cold empty stage while potentially every piece of it is analyzed and torn to pieces before and by an audience of tens of millions. Whatever the potential prize, most of us would find it difficult ever to leave the house again after such an experience, but these seven subject themselves to it week after week.
